C) Camera & Scan Data
- Card photos captured for scanning are processed on-device.
- These images are not uploaded to our servers unless specifically required for a feature and clearly disclosed in-app.
- Scan history is stored locally on your device unless you choose a cloud backup or sync feature (if available).
- Card images are never used to identify individuals.
We do NOT collect:
- Biometric data
- Government identifiers
- Contact lists
- Advertising ID
- Precise geolocation
- Personal financial details
- Messages, user-generated public content, or social profiles
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used only for:
- Card scanning, recognition, and pricing features
- Improving app performance and scan accuracy
- Displaying your personal scan history
- Customer support (only if you contact us)
- Preventing fraud and ensuring app security
We do NOT use your data for:
- Advertising
- Behavioral profiling

- Cross-app or cross-website tracking
3. AI Processing Disclaimer
TCG Card Scan AI uses machine learning to assist with card recognition, price estimation,
and surface-level condition insights. AI-generated outputs:
- May be inaccurate or incomplete
- Are not official grades
- Should not be used as financial, trading, or investment guarantees
- Depend on lighting, camera quality, card condition, and model limitations
By using the app, you acknowledge that AI predictions are informational only and should be verified independently
before making purchase, sale, or grading decisions.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
We process data under the following legal bases:
- Consent – camera access, optional analytics (where enabled)
- Legitimate Interest – improving app stability, preventing fraud, and maintaining security
- Contract Performance – providing the core features of the app you choose to use

We do not sell or rent your information.

We never share card images or user data with advertisers or third parties for
marketing or behavioral advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain data only as long as necessary to provide and improve the service, or as required by law.
You may request deletion of:
- Your support communication (emails)
- Optional profile or preference data (if any)
- Your local scan history (which can typically be cleared from within the app or by deleting the app)

The app is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13,
we will delete such information as quickly as possible.
